Running your fitness business can be as simple as:
- Sell your packages
- Book their sessions
- Check them in
- Collect your money
Sounds simple doesn't it? So it should be, however, many former unsuccessful fitness business owners will tell you different.

When you are looking to simplify your fitness business by adopting a studio scheduling software, always remember, keep it simple. You do not need an expensive desktop software that is feature laden in order to be successful. On the contrary, an online fitness studio scheduling software should make your life easier not more difficult.
Create packages that make sense.
Don't make your packages so complicated that no software will be able to accommodate your needs. Make them in reasonable amounts of sessions and bill either bimonthly, or monthly. Try not to over sell sessions but rather meet the needs of your clients. It is not to say don't sell large packages but keep in mind that in our current financial climate, your clients can easily allocate the money elsewhere if the value is not there. Additionally, when you sell them your packages book them (reserve them) in your training schedules right away. The sooner they use their sessions, the quicker they will meet their fitness goals and become one of your raving fans.
Next, remember to check them (marked as done) in to their sessions. This will track their sessions and allow you to keep a running total of their sessions remaining. Having a studio scheduling software that will allow you to check in every booked session on your schedule with one click of a mouse can be a valuable tool in your arsenal. Don't let unchecked in sessions fall through the cracks, because that is also your revenue falling through the cracks.
Although, selling easy to buy packages, booking and tracking sessions are essential, being able to collect your money is critical.
Online Credit Card processing has quickly become one of the most effective ways to collect money. An online store to sell your packages and being able to set up monthly automatic auto renew packages (recurring) will help prevent you from becoming a debt collector.
Remember to keep it simple and you will increase the chances of your fitness business being successful. Stay away from creating complicated systems that create more work for you.
KISS, Keep it Simple Stupid
If you can focus on simple systems in your business and automating your processes as much as possible you will have the time you need to focus on what's important to you right now! Whether that is growing your business, training for your next big race or spending time with your family.
