Another year has passed and now it’s time to embrace the year 2012. This year should be a great year and like most, better then the last. The question is, are you going to make it a great year or just another mediocre one?
A long time back I stumbled upon a quote that had caught my absolute attention. It went something like this… “Procrastination is the mother of all failure.” That quote has stood out in my mind for many years now and today being the start of a New Year what better way than to put everything out on the table.
For most fitness professionals the difference between successful businesses to one that is mediocre lies in the ability to take imperfect action on a consistent basis. A lot of fitness professionals have the great ideas, the new product they want to promote or the new fitness trend. The problem with most of them isn’t that their ideas are not good but that they fail to take action on these ideas.
If you want to find more clients, you can. If you want to increase your rates, you can. If you want to open another location, you can. The only thing stopping you is yourself and that little voice that says I’ll do it tomorrow. If you want to change things in your life to change, then you need to change things in your life.

Procrastination is certainly one of the biggest evils when it comes to reaching true success in the fitness industry. Stop waiting until everything is perfect or the timing is right, I know from experience nothing will be perfect, so take imperfect action today and work out the kinks along the way.
Here are a few things to add to your fitness business that will get you started off on the right foot.
The first thing you need to have in your fitness business is online studio scheduling software. The reason for this is to have a business management tool to handle your daily business tasks so you can spend time on the marketing and sales end of your business.
Using online studio scheduling software can give you valuable tools like email marketing, newsletters and surveys along with text messaging and coupons. This is a phenomenal way to reach new clients.
The next thing that will benefit your business is the automated billing. Turn you business into monthly recurring payments for your clients and see the difference you will have in retention.
The final thing to get your year orgnized is to set goals, check out this blog posting on Goals, Strategies and Tactics for your Fitness Business. If you don't have a direction you won't know if you are getting the results you want and need to suceed!
Time to welcome 2012 and start taking action on all the things you have put on the back burner. Implement online studio scheduling software, take imperfect action this year and don’t procrastinate for tomorrow.
Happy New Year to you and may your fitness business prosper in 2012!
