Running your Fitness Business means working with families, husbands, wives, children and so much more. Volo's member groups feature is an incredibly efficient way to organize familial arrangements within your business, whether parent-children or between partners.
Here is a pretty typical scenario:
Let's say that a family walks into a gym: two parents and two children. One of the parents is interested in having every member of the family sign up, but wants all of the billing to occur on their own personal account.
And here's how we would set that up within Volo:
Within the members tab, first click on Groups. Once Add New is selected, you're brought into the Add Group page. This is where you will customize your settings for the family.
Usually, we recommend entering the family's surname in the Name field making it easier to identify the group. Next, add the parent who will be taking care of the family's finances at your facility. This is because we want Volo to Bill the Group Leader (to prevent the children from receiving the bill, of course!)
Next, tick Use Group Leader Items When Member Has None. This way, each family member would be able to use the sessions and packages purchased by the parent. And as far as Contact Name, Address, Contact Phone and Email, enter this information as you usually would.
Lastly, it's time to add the family members. Click Add Member and put each member into the group. Once you click Save, your new group is complete!

Now, by simply utilizing this feature within Volo, each member of the family is able to have their own accounts and book sessions while all billing is re-directed to just one parent's account.
And you know what they say: the family that trains together, stays together!
